So, IPL is finally over and this time we have a new winner in the form of Kolkata Knight Riders. The team performed brilliantly in the finals and outplayed Chennai Super Kings in it. Here are some of the interesting stats about IPL 2012:
- Chris Gayle scored 733 runs in just 14 innings (at strike rate of 160.74) and is the highest run scorer in this edition. Second highest run scorer is Gautam Gambhir, who scored 588 runs in 16 innings (at strike rake of 144.47)
- Morne Morkel took 25 wickets in 16 innings (at economy of 7.19). Second highest wicket taker is Sunil Narine, who took 24 wickets in 14 innings (at economy of 5.20).
- Chris Gayle also got Most Sixes and Highest Individuals. He hit 59 sixes and scored 128 (not out) to achieve these record.
